Marketing is IMPERATIVE for any business. It could make or break you, so ​make sure your marketing strategy is always in the hands of a professional. I was able to build my business from 0 to 8 figures all through marketing. But it needs to be done correctly.

​Your business’s marketing strategy isn’t something that should be overlooked! Or worse, put in the hands of an intern. All it takes is one wrong move and your company’s brand, reputation, and entire future could be in jeopardy.

With this handled properly, your web site will be the employee that never calls in sick. It will be producing conversions 365 days a year, even while you’re sleeping.

Online marketing is my wheelhouse. I started two e-commerce websites in 2004, selling products nationwide. After 11 years I was approached to sell my company by a private equity firm. They made us an offer I could not refuse. After they acquired me I had the option to retire, but chose not to because helping other business owners grow and problem solve is a passion.

SELLING YOUR BUSINESS

IT'S ABOUT THE ENDGAME. There will be a time when you need or want to sell your company. This is one of my specialties that brings me tremendous satisfaction. There are so many moving parts to this. It’s kind of like a dance. I’ll be your quarterback the entire way, helping you to maximize your chances of getting the biggest multiple you can. I am a master at negotiating.

I sold my company added 15x multiple. That was a grand slam, because my competitors were selling at a 4 x multiple. This is one of the things I’m most proud of because it enabled me to retire at a young age.

COACHING

SO WHAT IS COACHING? WHY DO I NEED IT? Great coaches and mentors are the quickest routes to success.

In a nutshell, coaching is “Personalized Custom Advice.” Business coaches are successful entrepreneurs who’ve decided to use their talents for building and growing a business to help other business owners reach their goals.

There’s plenty of information and advice available online on this topic.The problem is that this advice is usually too generic, not specific to your unique business. Business coaches are able to provide something far more valuable – personalized, custom advice. If a person wants to learn how to fly the plane, it’s much easier to find a teacher.


At the end of the day, business coaches are expert entrepreneurs who know what it takes to make a business successful.

FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS SPECIALIST

I worked in my own family business for over 20 years. Over time we figured out how to work together professionally and avoid triggering each other. As soon as we walked into the office, our roles transformed: my mother was not my mother and my sister was not my sister. We took those hats off and put on our ‘business owner’ hats. Then when we left the office, the ‘family hats’ came  back on again.

All in all, I was partners with my sister for almost 30 years. It was tough in the beginning, and then we learned how to work with each other so that it was enjoyable. It could be very challenging, but by following certain techniques we were able to enjoy working and reaching one successful goal after another together.

When I consult other family businesses and family members don’t see eye to eye, I often become a mediator. It’s all about keeping things fair. The goal is to stay accountable and respectful, and keep it professional.
